Re: Rural Virginia , Good Phone Service Options

ATT band 14 is available out here. When it CAs with 2 and 29 I've seen 50-80mbps down on cat 12 and 18 modems. One of my routers at home does it with a em160.

Re: Rural Virginia , Good Phone Service Options

I'm in rural va as well, know that Tmobile band 71 and 66 are strong out here. Some towers now have sprint band 25 and 26 offering up good data. Verizion for the most part out here is over subscribed and crap on the upload. And band 29 just started popping up on AT&T out here which is nice for a goo...

Re: Which Modem?

The MC7411 is the minipci version, its out there if you google-fu enough. The EM7411 is easy enough with an adapter which I prefer. My initial testing with it here...

Re: Which Modem?

If your wanting Band 71 and max performance, something that can do n71 and combine it with LTE bands, I would go RM502Q-AE. If your on a budget, I would go Sierra 7411 and at least be able to combine B71 with something else.

Everything I have seen so far, including the "magic" mirrors the EM7565 and em7511 modem. No definite info yet though.
Same experience here with the 7411's.

Re: MOFI4500 SIM7 download speed question

Your signal is good, but ouch, haven't seen band 71 on 5MHz in awhile. Where I'm at, its provisioned at 10Mhz offering more. I would do a band scan, and see what other bands are available. After that, I would build a router (or buy) with a 7411 in it so you can CA band 71 with one of the others.

Correct, tested with Intel cards and couldn't get it to work. Eventually will wrestle with it some more.

Re: Need Help. Desperate Noobie.

Agree with Didneywhorl. Home run the antennas into the modem, and then enable wifi calling on your iphones. Will allow for a clean data signal, plus the antennas and boosters that come with the typical kit don't broad cast all the bands that modem can see, especially if its a kit from before Nov of ...

Re: Any stable 5G modems out?

And to be specific, for my testing, on B71 vs n71 on Tmobile, I saw a 40-60% increase in download, and a 20-30% increase on upload on the same tower with the RM500Q.

Same here, great success with the RM500Q's. Testing a RM502Q next week.
